NBA Draft
Seeing as the NBA Draft was last night, I thought I'd share my thoughts: Too many people actually care about the NBA. The officiating in the NBA is just as bad as it is in the World Cup, and the only people worth watching are Mark Cuban and Ron Artest. The marketing techniques are almost as predictable as the games themselves....right now I'm just waiting to see Dwayne Wade on the cross. Before these playoffs I actually did follow the Wizards, although I'm really not sure why. They seem to have continued their tradition of stockpiling picks that will have no impact on the team for the next 5 years. Not to mention they took the exactly same player with both picks. What is the point of that? But back to the issue at hand.......the NBA needs to revise its relatively new rules allowing zone defenses. They might as well not exist considering you still can't have anyone sit in the lane (thus eliminating the zone. That just isn't basketball. Watch College basketball instead....the players actually care and know how to play defense.
